WHAT IS SCAR CAMOUFLAGE TATTOO?

In some cases, derma needling might also help reduce the actual scarring before applying ink. The Stretch Mark and Scar Camouflage is a non-invasive tattooing method that uses skin-toned ink pigments to disguise and conceal the appearance of stretch marks and/or scars by filling the areas that are missing color. It requires little to no downtime but does take, on average, 45-60 days to see the final results. WHAT EXACTLY IS SKIN MICRO PIGMENTATION? 

Skin Micro pigmentation is a non-surgical cosmetic technique of tattooing using micro pigments into the skin, replicating the natural look of skin features. Unlike traditional tattoos where the artwork is the central focus, paramedical skin micro pigmentation focuses on camouflaging and concealing defects. Practitioners are referred to as “pigmentologists” because the focus is on the mixing and blending of colors to make it match and blend with your natural skin. This is a very specialized procedure only offered at Adore.

No medication needed, no invasive surgery. The results are instant and you can see the immediate difference it makes in just one session. Colors and pigments are adjusted and layered each session and the average treatment consists of two to three sessions. There are little to no side-effects associated with scar camouflage and general skin reactions and symptoms associated with traditional tattoos and permanent make-up and cosmetics are minor.

Of all the possible treatments available for scars and stretch marks, our powerful combination of Microneedling, Light Therapy and natural permanent pigment for stretch mark and scar removal often is the most successful. It requires only a brief recovery period while still providing powerful results. Our scar and stretch mark removal is designed to suit virtually every skin type and every type of stretch mark. This treatment can improve the overall appearance and elasticity of the skin, using short pulses of tiny needles and light to penetrate the sub-dermal layer.

After the initial treatment, the body will begin its own natural reparative processes by sweeping away old and damaged tissue. At the same time, the body will regenerate fresh collagen and elastin. Collagen assists in lightening and smoothing out stretch marks bit by bit, until they become almost completely invisible. Elastin serves to provide a more toned, youthful-looking skin texture overall. And, with higher amounts of these in your skin, you are less likely to form any new stretch marks or scars.

Patients generally do not experience any serious discomfort or side effects when opting for this treatment. A little swelling or redness may be apparent immediately after the treatment session, though it does not last for much longer than a few days. In rare cases, patients may experience slight bruising or sensitivity. These effects depend largely on how sensitive the treatment site is overall.

Once the skin has healed additional session to deposit natural pigments to the skin is done to complement the skin tone. This is known as the camouflage of the stretch mark or scar.
